Clinics, Coffee Chats and a Bit of Chaos
TL;DR: Collate is shaped by daily conversations with clinics. Constant feedback, fast iterations, and close collaboration turn real clinic workflows into a sharper product.
At Collate we've been doubling down on something simple. Talking to the top clinics in the world every single DAY. Not once in a while. Not when we happen to feel like doing user research. We mean a steady rhythm of online catch ups deep dive calls and quick feedback cycles that keep us honest.
These conversations have become the backbone of how we design Collate. Every clinic we meet brings a new puzzle piece. New workflows. New pain points. New ineffiencies. New moments where someone says "I wish something just handled this for me". And as we collect these insights our design customer portfolio keeps growing with clinics who want to build the future with us not just use it.
Research call with a clinic
If you peek behind the scenes it looks less like a corporate product cycle and more like a small hacker house. Whiteboards full (by the way we indulged ourselves with our whiteboards, they are the BEST). Tabs everywhere. Prototypes breaking then suddenly working. Inboxes filled with screenshots from clinics showing us what actually happens in day to day operations. It is messy chaotic and very effective.
Team meeting
This is the fun part of building. Quick experiments. Fast iterations. Heated debates about whether a button should exist at all. The clinics we work with do not just test/give feedback on Collate, they shape it. As we continue these weekly online meetings and onboard more design customers the product becomes sharper smarter and more aligned with how real clinics operate. More clinics. More feedback. More Collating.
